Shari Lovenheim has 15 years of teaching experience in the New York City metropolitan area. Since 2005, Shari Lovenheim has been a nationally certified school psychologist for Wayne Public Schools. In this capacity, she provides a diverse array of services to students.
In addition to counseling students, Lovenheim uses her training and experience to provide extensive diagnostic and assessment services for many of the district’s programs. Her duties include assessing student behavioral, cognitive, and social-emotional functions as well as conducting diagnostic screening for Wayne Public Schools’ gifted programs. She also trains school staff in crisis intervention. Lovenheim additionally develops Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students, enabling the school system to provide customized, cross-disciplinary services to those most in need of them.
Shari Lovenheim earned her undergraduate degree in psychology and her master’s degree in school psychology at the City University of New York. She is a member of the National Association of School Psychologists and the American Psychological Association.
